Third, check the Bank angle switch and the kickstand switch. It could need a recall! If the recall had been more advertised for the Datatool I wouldnt have wasted a month without the bike. Next step would be to check out the alarm system, if any, you have on the bike. If possible get it checked for 'health' at a dealership, which shouldnt cost alot, and if its coming to the end of its life, get a new one. Taking the problem as a whole, I'd say your best bet would be firstly, charge that battery. If i got one of the four out, and it wouldnt matter what one, then it would give me easier access to the rest. I would usually put a pair of pliers on each of them in turn and try pulling them straight out, quite firmly. I also mounted the alarm electronics package higher under the seat as due to the underseat exhaust I think the alarm electronics get too hot.Īs for the relays, I swapped a couple of these out, but if they've never been removed from the bike, they can be tight suckers. Basically I'd been overloading the bike with heated gloves and the alarm being a bit sensitive would occasionally go off during the night/day whilst I was away from the bike. After getting the guys to come out and fix that the bike ran fine. After a lot of bother and searching I eventually found out the alarm immobiliser had a recall notice on it: Datatool S4 C1 Red of a specific year. Then it started cutting out randomly, even whilst driving. For the first couple of months it would run fine and had no issues that I could find. It started fine when i went to visit it but I obviously did a full fluid change on the whole thing. I've got an 11 plate CBR, brought second hand that was in pretty good nick, though it had been sat around for a couple of years when I brought it. Let me run through a few of the things that I tried to solve this issue and then the annoying conclusion. disarm the system silently on a one-off basis by pressing the Black button of the remote just prior to pressing the gray button to arm/ disarm.I had this issue a couple of months ago. If the arm/ disarm tones are enabled it is still possible for the driver to arm. If the system is put in the ferry mode a lower tone will be heard as the black button is pressed within 10 seconds of arming via the Grey button to confirm movement sensor deletion. If the arming tones are enabled the system will give an audible tone to coincide with the indicator flashes. This returns you to the software switch selection. Once you have made the adjustment press both buttons of the remote to exit switch 6. If you want to turn the tones Off, press the Black button of the remote control when switch 6 has been entered and the LED will be Off. Press the Grey button to turn tones On and the LED will change to On. Then a triple beep will be heard and the LED will be off. Select software switch 6 by pressing both buttons of the remote until you hear 6 beeps. EU regulations do not allow this feature to be active so it is shipped off. Want your Arm/ Disarm tones On When you arm or disarm this feature will allow for a tone and parking lights will flash indicating arming or disarming. You will a series of increasing rate beeps. Next time you start your bike/ Turn the ignition on the alarm will automatically rearm.
